COACH
Role Description
Candidates should demonstrate excellent coaching, leadership, and managerial skills to effectively lead all classes at ATTN Seattle with the support and guidance of the head coach and owners. All coaches should be able to coach any level of athlete, from novice to advanced, competitive athletes. We want self-motivated team players with the ability to get along with all personality types in order to help anyone reach their goals.
The coach will work with our members to explain and demonstrate exercises, explain workout formats and strategies, providing individual scaling and modifications in workouts, and provide a safe and supportive environment for our gym community.
We are looking for applicants available for
Morning blocks (6am on)
Evening blocks (5pm on)
Weekends
Applicants are expected to be available for at least 2 or more classes on a weekly basis, with growth opportunities.
Qualifications
ASCM, NCSA, ISSA, NASM, CrossFit, USA Weightlifting, StrongFirst, or similar certifications.
If not, the applicant should be willing to work towards one
Prior experience coaching group fitness classes helpful but not mandatory
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
CPR, STB, and First Aid certified or willing to acquire
Ability to perform and demonstrate basic barbell and bodyweight movements with correct form
Responsibilities and Duties
• Maintain positive and friendly demeanor.
• Ensure classes are effective, safe and fun.
• Run classes ranging from 2-2 people.
• Willing to coach approximately 2 or more classes a week.
• Demonstrate proper form and technique
• Offer additional support to help athletes achieve their fitness goals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with current athletes and convert potential athletes.
• Engage ATTN Seattle social media platforms and help participate in social media presence.
• Promote all internal programs and events
• Promote all internal special offers.
• Always promote the ATTN Seattle community and family atmosphere.
• Help maintain a spotless facility.
• Attempt to make all quarterly coaches meetings and ATTN Seattle social events.
• Adhere to all ATTN Seattle house rules, policies, and procedures.
• Coach at least one Saturday community every other month.
Schedule and Compensation
The schedule for this position varies based on availability and experience.
Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications, starting at $25/hour.
Experience we value: previous work in fitness, previous front desk work, previous group training/teaching work. Olympic weightlifting; powerlifting; CrossFit; inversion practice; soft acrobatics; kettlebell sport; endurance sports, fitness racing; etc.
Qualifications we value: USA Weightlifting; CrossFit; StrongFirst; National Strength and Conditioning Association; American College of Sports Medicine; National Academy of Sports Medicine; StrongFit; Clinical Athlete; POSE Method; International Sports Sciences Association; Conjugate Methods; Westside Barbell; any academic pursuit in Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, Exercise Science.

We are a group & personal training gym located in Seattle near the University of Washington, offering multiple classes and class types six days a week. We are dedicated to educating every body to move more efficiently through strength and conditioning for now, and for the rest of our lives.
